He termed the current election campaign to be “an insult to the voters,” media reported.
According to reports he has been distressed by the rise of Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz among Republicans and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders among Democrats.
Bloomberg (73) is an American business magnate, politician, and philanthropist and this is the first time he has seriously considered a presidential run.
He served as the 108th Mayor of New York City, holding office for three consecutive terms beginning with his first election in 2001. He was a Democrat before becoming a Republican to run for NYC mayor.
With a net worth of 41.1 billion US dollars, he is the 6th-richest person in the United States and the 8th-wealthiest in the world.
