New tremors spark fresh warnings

Sri Lankan officials are warning coastal residents to stay inland overnight after fresh tremors were reported in the Indian Ocean late Sunday.

Tidal waves hit Sri Lanka during late morning local time but the new warning comes after officials of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau of Sri Lanka reported fresh quakes around 6 to 7 pm local time.
