Hot on the trail of the eco tourism inclination, Bogawantalawa Plantations is promoting four infrastructure projects among local and overseas investors.
Taking centre stage among the projects is the Leopard Mountain Hotel, a Rs. 500 million facility proposed by the people behind the Elephant Corridor Hotel. rn
rnMeanwhile, an abandoned tea factory is being assessed for structural adjustment requirements, before drawing plans to convert it into a luxury retreat.rn
rnTwo other sites have been earmarked for log cabins and chalets with detailed proposals in the making. rn
rnBogawantalawa Plantations Chief Executive Sarath Fernando told Lanka Business Online that local interest was high, while a number of foreign investors were also looking at the projects. rn
rnTime plans for the projects have not been finalised, but Fernando hopes to see the projects off the ground before the end of the year. rn
rnMeanwhile, BPL will invest around Rs. 270 million in developing its tea interests, monies the plant
