The airline launched flights to Ampara and Weerawila, increasing the number of domestic destinations to 10 this week, said a press release from Sri Lankan Airlines.

The Ampara flights will target businessmen and NGOs and both foreign and domestic tourists travelling to the popular resort Arugam Bay.

Flights to Weerawila will help access hotels in Hambantota and the Yala National Park while providing alternative transport to pilgrim traffic to Katharagama, the holy city for Buddhists and Hindus.

Flights to Nuwara Eliya are lined up within the next two months.

A landing spot in the deep South and another in the east coat are also on the list of Air Taxi destinations to serve hotels at Dickwella and Tangalle down South and Arugam Bay in the East coast.
