Sri Lankan teens at Allianz football camps in Germany, Thailand

June 26, 2013 (LBO) – Allianz Insurance Lanka said two Sri Lankan teenagers had been selected to take part in an international football camp in Germany sponsored by the insurer and another two will go to a camp in Thailand.

Isuru Sandamal Weerasinghe, 14 and Roshen Subhash Pingho, 14 from Badulla and Payagala will go the Allianz Asian Junior Football Camp held in Munich with 75 teens from 25 countries.

Every participant comes from a different cultural and social background, but for all of them, football is a shared passion, said Christian Deuringer, director global brand management, Allianz SE.

That helps transcend boundaries and gives them a way to develop their physical, mental and social skills.

They will have a chance to meet, play and train with footballers Bastian Schweinsteiger, Phillip Lahm, Javi Martinez, Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer.

A. Afrar from Trinco and Ranju Silva from Kandana have been selected to participate in the Allianz Asian Junior Football Camp in Thailand, from June 28 to 30.
