July 26, 2012 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's Amana Bank, an Islamic bank said it has started banking services Saturday. Amana Bank has now opened its doors for banking on Saturdays facilitating greater convenience to its valued customers.

"We are committed to ensure convenience and peace of mind to our valued customers," Amana Bank’s head of consumer banking Siddeeque Akbar said in a statement.

"The Saturday Banking initiative is one of the many convenient solutions we intend to roll out.

"We are happy to announce that the Saturday Banking service is not restricted to Colombo, ensuring our customers will have access to this convenience in key cities across the island."

Saturday services were available at its main branch in Colombo 3, Pettah Branch, Galle Branch, Kandy Branch and Kattankudy Branch.
