The European Commission is putting up grants up to Rs12.5 mn under its Small Projects Facility.

The European Commission is inviting project proposals to provide grants up to Rs 12.5 mn under its Small Projects Facility (SPF). The European Commission is inviting project proposals to provide grants up to Rs 12.5 mn under its Small Projects Facility (SPF). Project proposals can be submitted by Sri Lanka based non-profit legal entities, governmental or non-governmental organisations, including business associations, chambers of commerce, local authorities and Sri Lankan Universities.

“The overall objective of this programme is to support the on-going reform process of the Sri Lankan economy and to enhance partnership between EU & Sri Lanka,” said a press release from the Delegation of the European Commission to Sri Lanka.

The indicative amount available for this facility is around Rs 150 mn.

SPF approved project proposals will be financed through a grant contract signed between the European Commission and the applicant institution.

The contribution of the European Commission to each SPF Projects can range from around Rs 3.7mn to Rs. 12.5 mn.
