Green Book wins Oscars for best picture, Rami Malek & Olivia Colman tops in acting


Feb 25, 2019 (LBO) – Green Book, a film about a black musician and his white chauffeur driving in the segregated South, won the best picture at the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday.

Green Book wins Oscars for best picture, best original screenplay, and best supporting actor while other nominees for best picture included Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Roma, A star is born, and Vice.

The Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody took home four awards, while Roma and Marvel’s Black Panther won three. Rami Malek wins best actor Oscar for Bohemian Rhapsody while Olivia Colman crowned the best actress.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won in the Animated Feature Film category and Lady Gaga gave a memorable performance from A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper before giving a memorable speech for winning for Original Song.
