Former Minister Maithripala Sirisena, was holding the position of Secretary General when he left the government to contest for the forthcoming Presidential Election as the Common Candidate.
New Secretary General has been appointed for SLFP
Nov 22, 2014 (LBO) – Sri Lanka freedom party (SLFP) appointed Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, as the new Secretary General of the party by party’s Chairman President Mahinda Rajapaksa, a media report said. He was suspended from the SLFP by President Rajapaksa yesterday, a media report said. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa was the Vice Chairman of the SLFP at the time of appointment.
