Cisco Systems Inc., Thursday announced plans to expand its presence in Sri Lanka through active participation in the countrys strategy to leverage ICT.
With Sri Lankas networking growth above the regional average of 10 per cent, Ciscos President for South Asia, Manoj Chugh says the trend could improve with the ICT strategy. rn

rnChugh added that with the peace process gaining momentum, firms were increasing their spend on networking and infrastructure integration.rn

rnCisco range of solutions covering networking and telecommunications is expected to ease ICT rollout and allow for expansion and upgrading. rn

rnThe company says it is ideally positioned to support immerging communication solutions including Voice over IP, Virtual Private Networks, Enterprise Resource Planning and e-commerce. rn

rnThe companys expansion plans also extend into the education filed, with a local academic road show scheduled for later this month. rn
