Apr 22, 2019 (LBO) – Special Investigation Committee headed by a Judge of the Supreme Court is to be appointed to investigate causes and background for the grave national catastrophe that occurred yesterday claiming many lives.
The Committee will study other reasons that pave the way for these incidents as well. Secretary to the President Udaya R Seneviratne said the Committee will submit their report within two weeks to the President.
Meanwhile, the Island-wide Police curfew has been lifted from 6 am today. All train and bus services are to be operated as usual.
Some intelligence officers were aware of this incidence. Therefore there was a delay in action. What my father heard was also from an intelligence officer. Serious action need to be taken as to why this warning was ignored. I was in Badulla last night pic.twitter.com/ssJyItJF1x

A week before, my Ministerial Security Division (MSD) officers had been warned by their Division on two suspected suicide bombers in Colombo targeting politicians #lka
