Sri Lanka Freedom Party appoints committee to cooperate with Mahinda Rajapaksa

June 16, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lanka Freedom Party on Tuesday appointed a six member committee to cooperate with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, General Secretary of SLFP Anura Priyadarshana Yapa told LBO. The six member committee led by John Seneviratne also includes Dilan Perera, T.





B. Ekanayake and Kumara Welgama. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Susil Premajayantha has been appointed on behalf of the party.





“Main objective of this committee is to harness the unity between the party and former President ahead of a general election,” Yapa told LBO.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party organizers meeting which was held today headed by President Maithripala Sirisena. “The President said the 20th amendment with 237 parliamentary seats will be gazetted shortly.



” Yapa further said.
