Sri Lanka stocks close up 0.2-pct

Oct 23, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lankan stocks closed up 0.18 percent on Friday for a fourth consecutive day with gains in the leisure sector city hotels showing gains, brokers said. The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed up 12.64 points at 7,081.49 up 0.18 percent. S&P SL20 closed 6.48 points higher at 3,825.55 higher 0.17 percent. “Market is up on anticipation of positive earning results” Lanka Securities said. Turnover was 1.1 billion rupees with 87 stocks closing positive against 60 negative. The main index showed gains in Asian Hotels and Properties closing at 62.80 rupees, up 2.80 rupees and Trans Asia Hotels closing at 88.90 rupees, up 5.30 rupees. John Keells Holdings closed at 175.60 rupees, up 0.50 rupees with over 1.9 million shares traded off the floor in six separate crossings at 175.00 rupees.
