19, 000 million maturing Treasury bills was held today, the debt office which is part of the island's central bank said. Treasury bill yields were down on Tuesday’s auction with the 12-month yield down to 6.76 percent from 6.80 percent in the last auction, data from the state debt office showed. 6-month yield was also decreased at 6.

68 percent and 6,976 million rupees were accepted from 14,741 million rupees. The auction was oversubscribed with bids received amounting to 58, 593 million rupees. It was decided to accept 19, 556 million rupees from the auction with the value date of 02 April 2015. The debt office also offered 3-month short term bills for the auction at 6.

55 percent and 2,185 million rupees were accepted from 16,172 million rupees.
