The Sri Lanka-Vietnam Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber is leading a trade and investment delegation to Vietnam's capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the economic powerhouse in the south from March 04 to 08.
The delegates will meet key government officials and visit high tech industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City.
"It will certainly boost economic ties between Sri Lanka and Vietnam" the statement quoted Vietnam ambassador to Colombo Ton Sinh Thanh as saying.
Sri Lanka also has a chance of attracting investments from Vietnam as the country's external investments now total 10 billion US dollars, especially in areas of making machinery for agro industry, food processing, fisheries and oil exploration.
Anton Godfrey, president of theVietnam Sri Lanka Business Council said more efforts will be made in 2012 to boost tourism between the two countries and a website www.
