Jan 28, 2018 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s vehicle registrations across all categories showed a slowdown in December 2018, a new research report said.
“Across all categories there has been a slowdown in registrations in December,” data compiled by JB Securities, an equities research firm report shows.
” This is as a result of the measures taken by CBSL/treasury to curb vehicle imports – suspension of permits, LC margins and adjustment to LTV ratio on hybrids.”
Total car registrations recorded 2,669 units in December down from 3,354 units in November and also down from 3,295 units 12 months ago.
Under notable premium cars there is no evidence of prestige cars, it added.Vehicle Report December 2018 V1
