Sri Lanka’s HNB offers 4.4 mnl shares to investors

Aug 15, 2017 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Hatton National Bank said it was offering 4.4 million shares, which were under subscribed earlier to potential investors.

To boost capital, the bank offered 56 million voting shares at 220 rupees and 14.09 million non-voting shares at 190 rupees to raise 12.3 billion rupees 1.8 billion rupees respectively.

However, the voting shares received applications for 58.4 million shares while the non-voting saw subscriptions for only 9.2 million shares, the bank said in statement to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The bank has now said that the stock has been allotted and are calling for potential investors to apply for the additional shares through letters of intimation.
