The programme will be launched on Thursday morning from Independence Square, Colombo amidst the blessings of all religious leaders in order to achieve two fundamental purposes, the PAFFREL said. First purpose is to compel political parties to give out nominations to the most suitable persons in the upcoming Parliamentary elections.

Second is to start a broad discourse within the country raising awareness among the public about electing suitable candidates to the Parliament to represent them who are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and competency on the task of the legislature. The movement is based on the 12th March declaration signed by all most all political parties in the country including President Maithripala Sirisena.
