Sri Lanka’s Parliament passes 20th Amendment to the Constitution

Oct 22, 2020 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s Parliament on Thursday passed the ‘Twentieth Amendment to the Constitution’ after two days of debate.

The second reading passed with 156 votes in favour and 65 against. After the committee stage amendments, the third reading passed with 156 votes in favor and 65 against.
