Batey’s is doing the PR campaign, part of a much bigger million dollar exercise by the Tourist Board to reposition the destination to attract high spending tourists.
The Board is planning to spend up to US$ 6 million this year on branding and promotion.
Batey’s, a top regional ad agency also handles part of the Singapore Tourism Boards advertising and branding.
Batey’s has extensive experience in brand marketing of tourism being closely involved with campaigns done by the Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines.
Ian Batey the founder of the agency said the PR focused campaign is faster to roll out.
“It involves a lot of PR and economics in it. We chose that route. The returns are astounding,” says Ian Batey.

Batey’s will concentrate on getting positive publicity in the international media about the destination and help manage crisis situati
