University of Wales MBA Society to launch with “Encoro”

The official University of Wales- MBA Society in Sri Lanka was established for the first time to commemorate the seasoned professionals currently enrolled in the program as well as the highly recognized and competent alumni of the program scattered in various multinationals and blue chip corporates in Sri Lanka and overseas. We believe that the University of Wales MBA Society- Sri Lankan Chapter will act as an integral part of the University of Wales MBA program and will distinctly stand out as one of the most prestigious and reputed MBA societies in the Sri Lankan business network. The official launch of the University of Wales MBA Society will be held on the 28th May 2016 at the Kingsbury Hotel and will gather a large crowd of distinguished and notable individuals holding the University of Wales MBA. The guest speakers for the night will be Mr. Kishu Gomes- Managing Director Chevron Lubricants Lanka and Dr. Gehan Dhameeth who is serving as the Assistant Professor of Business and Chair of the Business Program at Wells College, Aurora, New York. They will speak on the theme titled “the importance of a scholar’s contribution towards a fast growing economy in Sri Lanka in the new era” This glamorous, high profile event is showcased under the theme “Encoro” (a wordplay on “encouragement and encore”) – towards a scholarly society; and will be attended by professionals and high flyers in the business community. There will be entertainment acts such as Latin dancing and a DJ booth with a dance floor to keep everyone entertained throughout the night with cocktails and dinner. A night that will have a mix of generations from yesteryear to the millennial of today; it will be the best opportunity to network with fellow business colleagues and enjoy the entertainment. The University of Wales MBA offered by the Imperial Institute of Higher Education (IIHE) is the only validated centre for the University of Wales MBA in Sri Lanka for the last 20 years offering an MBA that is distinctly different from most other MBAs offered nowadays due to its challenging and dynamic approach to teaching and learning methods. This is not an MBA for the hasty learners. The vision of the society is to set a high standard for the Sri Lankan business community to build a platform of professionals for networking, to add value to the business education gained, creating a community of like-minded professionals to come together to enhance and grow individually, as well as enrich society at large.
