Windows 10 to be released July 29; Microsoft reveals pricing structure


June 03, 2015 (LBO) – Washington based software giant Microsoft said its next major operating system release; Windows 10 will become available from 29 July 2015.

Windows 7 and 8 licensed users will be available to download Windows 10 as a free product for a year after its initial release.

Licensed users can reserve an upgrade from a notification icon in their task bar and the required files will be downloaded automatically by 29 July 2015.

However others will have to pay for the purchase and Microsoft earlier stated that this new operating system will be priced similarly to its predecessor.

Accordingly, Windows 10 Home package will be priced at 110 US dollars and Windows 10 Pro will be priced at 199 US dollars.

A Windows 10 Pro Pack will let users upgrade from Home to Pro for 99 US dollars.

The operating system’s new features include a digital personal assistant called Cortana, an innovative Internet browser and an upgraded start menu.
