Ceylon Chamber to obtain biz inputs on Sri Lanka – China FTA

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold a ‘Discussion Session’ on the 26th of August, 2016 to gain inputs from the Lankan businesses on how to enhance business activities with China.

The latest move of the Chamber comes in the wake of Sri Lanka and China is planning to strike a Free Trade Agreement between the two nations, shortly. Hence the upcoming discussion is aimed at obtaining clarifications regarding ‘Rules of Origin; criteria and to receive inputs on inclusion of products to be promoted through the proposed FTA with China. Senior officials of the Department of Commerce will take part as the resource persons of the upcoming session. The event which will start at 9.30 am and will be held at the Board Room of the The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is supported by the Sri Lanka – China Business Council and the Department of Commerce.
