May 8, 2007 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s advertising fraternity is kicking off a week long fest in the run up to the Sri Lanka Advertising Awards, the Chillies 2007, its organizers said. It would be held under the theme ˜Insightful Insights™, followed by a party at H20.

To be held on May 12 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Center, the event brings together the advertising industry.

Around this year’s awards would be built a series of seminars and interactive workshops to develop news ideas and concepts spiced with opportunities for relaxation, its organizers said.

A series of the ‘themed parties’ have started from Monday.

“Organised by a team known for their flamboyant, stylish and distinctive events, the festivities are guaranteed to leave Colombo yearning for more as they promise to outdo last year™s highly successful debut event – the first ever Chillies held in 2006,” Chillies promoters said in a statement.

Chillies is a joint industry initiative of the International Advertising Association (IAA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (the 4A’s) together with Sri Lanka’s marketing and media fraternity.
