Nov 02, 2007 (LBO) – A Sri Lankan media management and marketing services company, has tied up with a UK firm to offer retail design and research to optimize revenues, officials said. Vanguard Management Services has tied up with Shopworks, a UK consultancy which has worked with retailers like Tesco, Carrefour, Wal-Mart as well as top brands such as Coca Cola, Apple, Epson and Motorola.

"Shopworks is the first international retail consulting company to of its type to enter Sri Lanka," says Vanguard chief Lakshaman Bandaranaike.

"Through the affiliation of our two companies, we bring the same high quality service to Sri Lankan businesses that Shopworks already provides to its other international customers."

Shopworks managing director Craig Phillipson says maximizing sales doesn't require massive expenditure but the display of goods for maximum visibility and directing customer flow through the flow space to increase visibility.

Using Shopworks techniques stores have increased sales to the same volume of customers. This benefits the store owner as well as the producer.
