Sri Lanka and India are trying to formally open up the trade in services between the two countries, under a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

But negotiations have run into some specialised problems – despite assurances that Sri Lankan professionals’ interests will be safeguarded under the CEPA.
