Another Rs. 25 million has been set aside for taking drinking water to the drought affected areas.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board also received Rs. 25 million to help rehabilitate tube wells in the affected areas.
Officials say, under a earlier programme tube wells were installed in most parts of the affected areas, but neglect and misuse had left them unusable.
