Nov 08, 2019 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s gross official reserves were 7.8 billion US dollars (USD7,783.6mn) by the end of October, up from 7.6 billion US dollars in September, the latest Central Bank data showed.
By the end of October, the foreign currency reserves were 6,757 million dollars while the reserve position in the IMF was 66 million dollars.
Special Drawing Rights were 7.4 million, reserves in Gold were 952.2 million and other reserve assets were one million US dollars.
The outstanding stock of T-bills and T-bonds held by foreigners has increased by 1.67 percent during this week compared to the previous week.
During the year up to 08 November 2019, the Sri Lanka rupee has appreciated against the US dollar by 1.0 percent.
