Sri Lanka sells Rs39.3bn in 4 and 8 year bonds

3 billion rupees of four and eight year bonds after calling bids for 30 billion rupees of bonds, the state debt office said.

The debt office sold 19.24 billion rupees of four year bonds maturing on 15 September 2019 at weighted average yield of 8.

A eight year bond maturing on 01 September 2023 was sold at an average yield of 9.73 percent, raising 20.1 billion rupees.

The state debt office of the Central Bank offered 10.0 billion rupees in four year bonds and 20.0 billion rupees in eight year bonds.

At the last auction held in 17 March 2015, four year bonds were sold at an average yield of 9.13 percent and six year bonds were sold at 9.55 percent.
