The bank re-issued Rs. 9,988 million worth of bills, but accepted only Rs. 6,824 million from the market.
The auction was oversubscribed with bids worth Rs. 17,411 million.
The island’s Central Bank bought a billion rupees worth of paper and retired Rs. 1,757 million.
Investors will pay for the bills they purchase on Dec. 16
