Speaking at a seminar on government policy on export development, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce and the Export Development Board, Dr.



P B Jayasundara invited exporter and SME’s to form industry clusters.

"Then we can agree on a national agenda for the sector," said Dr. P B Jayasundara addressing a seminar on Government policy on export development, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce and the Export Development Board.

Set up under the newly minted NCED, the clusters will operate and develop industry policy and set strategy direction for each sector.

The plantation industries have also been asked to do the same, said Jayasundara.

Already the sectors of transport, tourism, power and petroleum and apparel are working as clusters with government officials and policymakers under the NCED.
