Sri Lanka stocks close flat, Net foreign out flow

Oct 08, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lankan stocks closed flat on Thursday with low investor interest due to lack of policy directions, brokers said.

The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed flat at 7,085.65.

S&P SL20 closed 3.09 points lower at 3,818.60 lower 0.08 percent.

Turnover was 850 million rupees, up from 636 million rupees Wednesday with 80 stocks closing positive against 78 negative.

“There was lackluster trading with low investor interest but compared to last three days turnover was higher,” Lanka Securities said.

There was a net foreign inflow of 22 million rupees with foreign participation amounting for 21 percent of the turnover.

“An outflow of 27 million rupees was seen in Commercial Bank while and in flow of 10 million was seen in John Keells Holdings.”
