Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapakse Wednesday promised to honour US$ 71 million due to Indian Oil Corp., after its local unit lamented that unpaid bills will drive it to technical insolvency. Rajapakse, who is also the country’s finance minister, said that the Treasury has promised to give him a comprehensive report on the issue, before he travels to India on December 27.
